    Power not the problem, power back on in a couple hours. Gas valve and timer over heated.

    Give me some more info I've fixed those things for 38 years. A gas valve won't over heat unless it's shorting out. Is your power back on??? Was everything working before the power went out? Did you have a lot of wind or snow?? I'll try to get back asap.

    My house has central air/heat but no furnance.
    We don't need no furnance here!

    Sob zero winds, furnace over heated, power out during furnace on high, cooked all the oil out of valve.The people that fixed it today had never seen one that old,old coal convert furnace.Nice and warm tonight, thanks for caring enough.
