used/rare magazines won't feed
I recently bought three used mags for an old Squires Bingham .22 semi-auto that was my fathers when he was younger. None of them feed correctly because of bent tabs holding the bullets incorrectly (or pinched).
THE QUESTION:
Is there some scientific method to getting the tabs on the mag shaped so they will feed correctly? Or should I just get some hand tools and start bending things into what I would consider the correct shape?
Thanks for the help.

That's a pretty stout mag. and I have no scientific answer for you. I'll leave that to someone else with more knowledge on the subject. I would like to know where you were able to find the spare mags though. I only have the original mag that I got with the rifle when my younger brother died. 0 -
I got those from ammoclip.com, but I think I actually found them on gunbroker.
I think I payed $40 shipped for the 3, and I felt like I got a screaming deal.... however, I need to tune them up a bit.0 -

Thanks. That's a good site to have access too. I will have to agree with you that you got a good deal on yours. They want $28.00 each for them now.
I got some mags. For a High Standard .22 awhile back that didn't feed correctly on arrival. There were instructions included that stated if they didn't, how to bend them and the dimensions required front and back. But basically it was bend them to fit. I've looked for them but haven't found them yet. Hopefully someone else will be more help. Good Luck!!0
