I would love to see NASCAR have a final race of the season on a dirt track! Maybe the top 25 in points? Wouldn`t that be a hoot?

NHRA. Quit caring about NASCAR when they put restrictors on the carbs...I guess that was a while ago.

NHRA. Nascar is getting too much like a soap opera.
And would somebody please tell the networks that somebody besides John Force and his daughter race?

I try to watch the Two or Three NASCAR "roadraces" held each year. For me the hole-shot, killed drag racing...

I like the local races, but don't watch TV drag Racing anymore.
Illegal street racing is very popular down here, but that's for reckless teenagers. I like two wheel racing too, During the summer nights, there are always a couple hundred motorcyclists cruising the main streets too.

I'm a fan of dirt racing, FI, road racing, motorcycles, but not Nascar or drag racing. Compared to other types of racing a 3500lb. "race car" going in circles is out of the stone age, and drag racing requires NO cornering ability of the vehicle or driver. Check the lap times on road courses shared by Nascar and true race cars, the Nascar vehicles are slugs.

Stock car racing in general. BTW the ARCA series does at least on dirt race a year and they use the same cars NASCAR does.

i am a drag racer myself. i like nhra and nascar. however, i think nascar has really turned hollywood and the drivers just arent my crowd anymore. nhra guys are still humble, normal people.

Years ago I watched NASCAR like a religion.
Too much heavy handed people in charge now.
What the hell is "Detrimental to stockcar racing"?
I hate that BS. Only reason is to fine a competor and keep them following the part line.
NASCAR has gotten too much like the WWF.
NHRA take too long for me to watch.
I don't watch much TV anymore.
Rather play on the gun boards.

Local track on a Friday night. Late model stockers sponsored by the local plumber. Grand Nationals. Mini's. Legends Cars. Throw in the demo derby from time to time. Swing set to keep the grandkids happy. Good hotdogs, cold beer, friendly crowd. Best $9 you can spend for an evenings entertainment. Yeah, take my lady to the Nextel and Busch races from time to time, and ARCA is good- but the local track is where you can go BS with the drivers after the race.

I use to race, I love NHRA, But its getting rather expensive
I want to go to the gatornationals, the sat and sun is 36.00
but the excitment is really NHRA.
the smell, the noise, the horsepower, yep the ability to
    generate real horse power.
I LOVE DRAGSTERS, FUNNY CARS AND TOP FUEL.
    John Force, Tony Schumacher

I like both, but I can't stand to watch NHRA on TV. I have to watch it in person. Nothin like standing in a Port-a-john and have it start shaking apart when they fire up the top-fuel cars.

My favorite is World of Outlaws.

I also like the figure-8 bus racing at the local tracks.

What about monster jam? Some of the things those guys do with a 10,000 pound truck is just crazy. And the drivers are some of the most down to earth and freindly guys or gals you'll ever meet.

I love all racing except nascar. I used to be a hired gun for several different classes in the NHRA (SE,SC, SG, SS), I used to have and race a open road race car (175mph class) and I was the spotter/co-driver for my brothers rally car. On top of all that I was also the Southern California Chaplain for Racers For Christ for 5 years. I just can't stand sitting there watching guys, who have the egos of movie stars and wouldn't give you the time of day, drive around in circles for 475 miles and then race for the last 15. BORING!!!! Give me a bunch of 10 year old kids driving Jr. Dragsters anyday, it's much more entertaining than Nascar.

1/4 mile as fast as you can go... for me of the two mentioned but first for me would be tractor pulling.....the diesel ones that have a few turbos staged and the blackest diesel smoke going straight up in the air....oh baby![:D]

My thoughts are that anyone that enjoys watching several cars go in circles for hours on end (NASCAR) has an IQ hovering around room temperature. Its just plain stupid.
