    I saw on the news that it's making a bee-line for Mexico and Texas is going to get a lot of rain from it.

    I have spent a total of about three months traveling around the Yucatan. One of my favorite places. There was a little place we stayed called the Cabanas Chac Mool, right on the beach, way out in the country a hundred miles south of the hellhole, Cancun.
    There were little huts, with stone floors, and stone walls about three feet high. The rest of the walls, and the roof, were made of thatch, with palm leaf roofs. Kept the rain out, and the sea breeze blew right through the walls, kept the bugs out. Had a nice little restaurant, right on the water, and a bathroom with hot showers [solar heat, no electricity.] In the morning I would string up my hammock between two palm trees, and drink a Negro Modelo. Biggest threat was that a coconut would fall on your head. Could stay there for fifteen bucks a day, including meals and a few beers. The place was unbelievably clean for Mexico, really, it was up to US standards.
    As best I can figure, this place no longer exists, hurricane hit about 30 miles south. Probably nothing left but the stone floors and walls.
    Ah well, they can get some little Maya Indians, and rebuild one of those huts in about two days.
