which is the best brand?
What kind of pellets? 177?
Can I do this for under 200.00?
Cant use 22 in city limits, nusance problem at office, tree rats must die.

a .20 drops squirrel better though[:X]
.177 if you go for a chest shot they run away or stagger usually
.20 usually they fold
maybe not KE, but better penetration I geuss.
Those new gold pellets might have changed the game, but b/w the 1100 fps RWS and the 880 fps .20 bejamin, I would take the Benjamin0 -
.22 cal from a springer air rifle at 625fps @ 25yds -bsa/beeman mercury etc-
.22 cal pre-charged air rifle 625 + (25-75yds) -career 707/rapid 7 etc-
.177 cal air rifle, will go thru, & tree rat will scurry off!
All headshots & flat pellets or hollw heads 16/18grain ,no probs!0 -
SLING BLADE.......I've got a Winchester 1000X Break-Barrel Pellet Rifle. Shoots .177 pellets at max 1,000 fps. Worse pellet rifle I've ever had. It's like holding and shooting a cedar log. Made by Daisy Outdoor Products. Came with a scope but it won't hold sight in...When I shoot it, it vibrates like a Harley out of time and actually hurts my shooting hand. Also, sounds like a 30/06 when it goes off. [:(!]
So, whatever you decide to do, I wouldn't recommend picking one of these dogs up at any cost......[xx(][xx(]

Cabelas has quite a selection to choose from, Im just sorting through them.

I'm with NUNN, My old Benjamin 22 cal pump did and will kill just about any backyard rodents! 12 pumps max.....Hah!! we tried as many as we were strong enough to pump!! however, 8-10 was always more than enough!
Oh yeah, as mentioned above you have to hit the squirrel!0 -

But! they can hear the snap when you pump it up, they split in a second.
You really have to hit them, cant bark them off?[;)]
