Darn..I missed the poof!
And I had my stopwatch running [:(] Nearest I can tell, it was about 3 hours.
Here's what I said to make Civil War thread disappear:
I'm gonna respond just as an experiment. I want to see how long it takes after I post, until the thread disappears.

There WAS a revolution back in the 60's! It was the closest thing to civil war since the civil war! People were being shot on college campuses. Millions of people marched on Washington demanding a stop to the war against communism.
The Civil Rights War was raging at the same time. Millions of activists marched against Washington demanding social reform.
Hippies buring their draft cards. Womens Rights Activists buring their bras!! Rioters burning cities! Peace signs, dope smoking, 'the long hot summer'.
Guess what guys...they WON. The government agreed to their terms. That's what the 'silent majority' is all about.
Sooo, when people say there needs to be a civil war, please open your history books to page 1965, where it says "you fought your civil war and you won...quit your complaining".

I remember the 60s. I vigorously disagree that "they" (the liberals at that time) represented the silent majority. Rather, they were a vocal minority, IMHO.0 -
