I saw this on another forum and found it funny.
How many forum posters does it take to change a light bulb?*
1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the
light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb"
Another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light
bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a light bulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light
bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
5 People to post pics of their own light bulbs
15 People to post "I can't see S$%^!" and their own light bulbs
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the
corrected URL's
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "Didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "Do a search on light bulbs before posting questions about
light bulbs"
1 to bring politics into the discussion by adding that George W. isn't the brightest bulb.
4 more to get into personal attacks over their political views.
1 moderator to lock the light bulb thread.
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and
start it all over again.

Don't forget the one late comer to ask "what did I miss?" 0 -
Don't forget lightbulbs are obsolete, cf bulbs save money! 0 -
This is not a light bulb forum. 0 -

Don't forget the 3 most important people......the one who determines if the bulb gets turned clockwise or counterclockwise to turn it in and.......the 2 who turn the ladder on which the bulb changer is perched.
Sounds like it's going to be a long weekend........been raining here all day.

So, if the moderator locks the topic, how does someone come six months later to revive the thread? 0 -
Anyway they're not light bulbs, they're dark suckers. That's right they suck up the dark. When they quit working they don't burn out, they are just full of dark. 0 -
SS- A new thread is started picking up where the old one left off. That's "reviving a thread." 0 -
You left out the 4 people who post pics of bikini-clad women changing light bulbs, the 6 people who post pics of bikini-clad women doing whatever, the 3 people who say that the pictures of bikini-clad women are inappropriate and offensive, the 30 people who disagree with the 3 and state reasons why, and the one person who tries to hijack the already-hijacked thread by asking a random question like, "Who wants to go get some beer and shoot stuff?" 0 -

How many forum members does it take to change a light bulb?
1- to change the bulb, then post about it
3- to argue that he did it all wrong
6- to discuss their favorite bulb and wattage
4- to argue that their wattage is better than the other guy
6- to argue whether bulbs are as good now as they used to be, and that they used to be brighter
5- to tell stories about their light changing experiences
3- to complain that they can't buy bulbs the way they used to
1- moderator to tell us we've beaten this subject to death.0 -

And one overly PC liberal to explain that we should not try to change the light bulb, but should accept it as it is! 0 -
are you sure this isn't just a GB rerun 0 -
...Of course you would find this amusing considering the context/time it was posted...[;)]
