Illegals protest: "Bush not doing enough"
From a recent AP report, many of the thousands of illegals who marched in Los Angeles "felt betrayed" by Bush's amnesty plan which would require them to pay back taxes.
"Charging that much, Bush is going to be even more expensive than the coyotes," said one protester... coveniently ignoring the fact that we could just as easily sling his mariachi @$$ in prison for breaking the law.[:(!]
It takes big brass ones to march out in public and complain that Bush, of all people, is being unfair and unreasonable where illegal immigration is concerned. Yes he is, but to us citizens, not you filthy little parasites that have taken it upon yourselves to bankrupt this nation and saddle us with increased crime and poverty.[:(!]
My patience is long past gone with these people. Send 'em home. Dead or alive doesn't matter to me anymore.

Just my take on this:
Contrary to anyone's opinion of GWB, no matter WHO sits in that office, he or she will be lambasted and slammed about for not giving one particular group, minority or the unfortunates carte blanche benefits, forgiveness, amnesty, consideration, perks, breaks, pardons, or whatever. When were "have nots" ever thrilled with nobility?
Blaming the President has been America's national pasttime since this Country was born. Seems to me that all the other elected politicians at all levels throughout this Country ought to get up off of their butts and tackle as much of this issue as they can locally even if Washington D.C. moves at a snail's pace. But they claim they can't without the Feds and prefer to use haplessness as an excuse. And so, the beat goes on and we continue to pay our taxes and more and more goes to those who are parasitical.
The head of the executive branch of the Fed is the President. Immigration is a Fed responsibility. He gets the immediate blame for facilitating the destruction of America.
Since the Fed is refusing to perform this function of defending America, ALL other politicians, Police Chief's, Sheriff's, City/Town Councils etc, who fail to step up to the plate and do the right thing, are ass deep in the destruction of America also.
The only question is, when will the American People have had enough and do something about it? I suspect the answer is that we are far, far too gone to ever come back.
Violence.....probably.
Some leaders doing the right thing....absolutely.
Most leaders facilitating the destruction of America...absolutely.
Restoring America to its constitutional principals...not hardly.
Face it, the old America is gone. The "New America" is evolving. Time will tell what she ends up being. This old patriot is not expected to like the result.
End of rant.0 -
obiWan - No shots fired. Illegal immigrants came into this country on
their own. For whatever reasons they have been allowed to stay here.
It is not the military's role to enforce federal/state/city laws.
How can the military be held accountable for illegal immigration when
it is sanctioned by our elected officials?0 -
Let me just express a feeling or two here...I voted republican, I dislike liberals. My makeup is libertarian. Deep down inside I have a desire for justice. I remember things like the two border patrol agents who are sitting in jail waiting for pardon from Bush..Not pardon for any crime, but merely for doing their job. The piece of crap US attorney who put them there is living like a king, lots of money, fame, looking forward to running for office in the future while his victums pay for it. While our great president ignores the requests of the justice loving citizens of this country because it's beneath his notice, not important enough to get his attention.
I think most of us have forgotten. It's old news, Trump and Rosie have taken over..O'rielly and Rivera are more immediate and interesting..
Well, I haven't forgotten. I WILL NOT forget.
Feel betrayed?? Who the he** is betrayed? Paying back taxes is a terrible betrayal huh? While the agents who swore on their lives to uphold the laws of this country sit in prison..While I as a military retiree and lifetime citizen of this country pays for those Mexican invaders health and welfare benefits.
I don't want to hear any silly stinking crap about betrayal. In my opinion Bush has betrayed someone alright, but it isn't his Mexican illegal drug pushing piece of poop buddies..He has taken very good care of them so far as well as I can see. By God he isn't looking ME in the eye and discussing justice and betrayal.
I can tell you now, the republicans have lost me. The democrats don't have me either and won't. Neither is worth the rabbit poop ground I walk on to feed my pets in the back yard, and that's what they will both get from me in the future. Not that any one of them gives a good rat's ass.
Not one of them cares spit about right, wrong, justice, American way, God's love or lack of it.The only motivator is money.
Remember all the hoorahrah when you were a child about how anyone could become president of the good ole USA? Like ole Abe did maybe..
Yeah, like no problem, just come up with 24 million bucks in campaign funds now. No sweat..Where does it come from? Why it comes from the fine farmers and workers of this wonderful country, right? What kind of an idiot believes that? It comes from whomever has the most jack, that's where it comes from. And guess who owns the president when he "or she, God help us," gets in office. How flipping stupid do you have to be to believe you elected the president who will be on your side?
ON YOUR SIDE??? Who the he** are you trying to kid? Yourself? Your sure as pus aren't going to convince me. I'm not dumb, at least not THAT damn dumb.
Enough. We all know what time it is. I'm 68 years old. I'm not one damn bit afraid to speak my mind, and I'm not afraid of dying in prison for doing it. Bush, kiss my ass. Pelosi, smell my sweaty toes.
David Nunn..Censor what you must. I know, I used a word or two. But at least allow my suicide address to remain. It's my right after all, isn't it? At least it once was.0 -

the military plays an active role in drug interdiction0 -
newtgingrich - The point I was trying to make was that the military does
not due things on their own. They are directed by the government on what
their mission/missions will be. Like you stated, drug interdiction. They
didn't just get up and say one day, "let's do some drug interdiction".
This was the impression I got from obiwan's input, that the military
just ups and does something on their own.0 -

But why "sling his mariachi @$$ in prison for breaking the law" ??? That just saddles us with even more expense for no good reason. Deport his sorry azz, put up a good fence and double tap him - or any other illegal border jumper - if he tries coming back.

...empty the prisons of all these illegal scum bags (wouldn't be in prison less they were scum)...save the millions a year in upkeep for 'em; and deport everyone of them.
...Take the money saved, build wall, hire more BPA's. Have mandatory fines of $50,000 for the employer for each illegal their working, first offense. A $100,000 for 2nd offense with a mandatory 2 year stint in the big house.
...FIRST, the damn government will have to have some type of data base accessable to employers, maybe something similar to the NICS, easy/fast; to enable the employer to check the validity of SS numbers.
...Without such a system, it will never be possible for an employer to know if an SS number is bogus or not, for a year or longer...maybe never. Hell, I had a guy that worked for me for a year, before my bookeeper got a letter from the IRS/SS Dept. informing him/me that the guys SS number was bogus! College grad, immpecable english, I had no idea, nor do some other employers. Then there are the "obvious" illegals, and the employers just dont care, unless it was to cost them dearly.
...And yes, I gaurantee that after growing up/living here for a "few" years...you can line up 20 mexcins, and have one legal the remainder illegal..and with about 99% accuracy I can pick out every illegal in the bunch, it ain't hard. The way they dress, IS a dead give away. That may sound strange to folks that have not grown up where your over run with these illegals, but it is FACT.
...Hit the gathering spots where these illegals congregate every morning, in every city; waiting for anyone to drive up and hire them for day labor, and arrest/deport them.
...It has always amazed me that these gathering spots exsist. I know of half a dozen of these spots over in Dallas, Garland, Plano (& these are by NO means all of them) Two of these spots average well over a 100 illegals gathered EVERY morning! Talking about easy picken's for ICE!...[^]..slight rant over...[:D]
