One year no smoking
I have no idea why, but one year ago today I got up in the morning, drank a cup of coffee, and didn't light up any form of smoking method. I had no particular desire to quit, but I just haven't bothered for one year as of today.
I wonder if that means I've quit?[:D]

I havent lit up for 21 years.
I wonder if I was serious about quiting[:o)]0 -
Congrats. Smoking is dangerous to your health...
... because the more you spend on cigarettes is less you can spend on guns![:p][:D]0 -

Congrats.
Don't know if it means you quit, but I hope so.0 -
Way to go. It's hard, I know. I didn't make it. Here's to hoping I can one day have your determination to get the job done. Again, way to go, it's major victory for you. 0 -

Near exactly what I did 20+ years ago. It was a Saturday evening about 10:30PM, I had one cigarette left, I thought, I'll smoke it, hit the sack, and go get a carton in the morning. In the morning I didn't go buy more. Like you I had not planned it, it just happened, and I haven't lit up since. I had a few sort of bad days, but in a week it was over. Smokers don't really know how bad it is, and how offensive it is to non smokers until they quit. Big congratulations on your success.0 -

Best of luck with continued abstinence.
I have about 10 weeks (with one slip) on this go 'round of quitting.0 -
Keep up the good work! 0 -
Congratulations! Keep it up. Never had one myself, though. The money you save could go towards your next gun purchase[;)] 0 -
I'm happy for you. Smoking is one of the most disgusting habits people can aquire. Besides, now your dentist will like you a little better. 0 -
Congrats! I'm on week 7. Went to work with a full pack and just decided to quit. I still have the pack in my briefcase. I'm thinking about keeping just so I can look at it and say "I won" to myself. 0 -
Congrats![8D]

Something to be very proud of. I hope you never have a craving again.0 -
Over 5 years for me. Took 7 days in the hospital with pneumonia to convince me.

Congratulations!
Not many people can just quit without prior planning and preparation, I envoy those that can.
My last smoke was 10/14/2000 ...
... to this day I still reach for one on occasion and have a fleeting craving.
I haven't quit, I just choose not to smoke today.0 -
Congratulations!!!
It'll be 15 years for me this coming June. Although I do still miss it to some degree, I know that I'm much healthier and better off for having given it up. And, my disposable income has increased considerably![:D]0 -
Feb 18 2006 was my quit date, my grandfather's funeral. He never smoked, he was 87...it wasn't related to smoking...just made me decide how much I wanted to continue living for a long, long time.
Never regretted it; just decided that the $8 a day I was spending was my new gun budget.0 -
...Congrats! April 1st will be a year for me, and I still want one...[:0]
...and my choice to quit was just "one of those things" also...never thought about it, just did (doing) it...[;)]
