Argentine Sistema 1927 45 apc

i have had this pistol for several years. i know it's not a High Dollar Collectable, it is a shooter,throw in the truck or boat gun. however i have found all numbers except on the magazine match and it is a very accurate firearm. i can hit what i shoot at with this gun. anyone else have one of these? if so does it shoot as good? the only problem i have with mine is "hammer bite" because the palm safety is small i need to get a beavertail safety for it.

    It shoots well because it is as much a Colt as anything made in Hartford.

    it was made on colt machines,....so for all intents and purposes, it is a colt.

    I think they were made in Argentina and known as the "Ballester Molina". Most were reliable good shooting guns, but lacked the grip safety of the 1911. I have one and put new grips on it and it dont look half bad.

    Wrong. The 'Molina' is a completely different animal.

    The M1927 IS a Colt. Made in Argentina under Colt contract - Colt insisted that
    their own quality control inspectors were there to oversee EVERY step of the
    manufacturing ... Colt even controlled the steel (quality) used in their manufacture.

    ... it's a Colt.

    Just sold one with original blue finish, all numbers matching including the magazine.. 99% finish,, check the book on these guns mught suprise ya..
