Best place you've celebrate the 4th ?
Mine was good ole England, when I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath. It's not the fireworks because it's nothing grand but its significance - independence from the British rule. Having fireworks and celebrating Independence Day on British soil is quite special ... even the locals joins in the celebration [}:)].

pacific beach wa, right out to the water from the state park, the coast is a shallow bowl there and you can see stuff going off 20 miles in both directions.0 -
1976, Bi-Centennial in Las Vegas. We were able to get tickets and saw Neil Diamond. Since it was the last show of the evening he performed an additional 30-45 minutes, what a performance. 0 -
well back in the 80's we went to near the top of one of the smaller cascade mountains and saw fire works from 100's of towns /cities, it was not to spectacular, but the four wheelen beer and music was great. 0 -

I was in York on the day Andy & Fergie became the Duke & Dutchess of York. Before they went into the York Minster they had what they call a walkabout. I mentioned to Prince Andrew that I thought it was quite decent of them to put on such a nice show for the Fourth of July.
I can never understand why some people bagged on how Fergie looked. She was stunning.0 -

Sitting in my driveway with my family and a bunch of friends. The fireworks are just a few blocks away at the park. Been doing the same thing with the same bunch of friends for 15+ years. 0 -
1976 in Disneyland, an intimate bash which seemed to dwarf the entire population of China in comparison. 0 -
1989 at Fort Niagra, F&I event. Hooked up with the prettiest French girl. Me being a English solidier and all I was a little hessitant to go to the French camp for dinner until I saw her. The shortest weekend of my life. Oh to be 19 again. 0 -
My backyard. The skydive airport shoots off a bunch. I see them over the evergreens grove. No crowds. No drunken idiots. The sound rolls in the country and isn't muffled like it is in town. When it's done, you should here the ruckus the cows make!
One time they were firing them in September. We had already chopped corn for silage behind my house, and there was a deer walking the row next to the standing corn. I thought man, I could shoot that thing in the midst of the fireworks, see it and no one would notice the extra boom. No, I didn't do it, (It's wrong!) but it looked like it would have been easy enough.0 -
