Sir, you asked a fair and honest question on another thread and it would be rude of me not to give you an honest answer.
Normally I enjoy posting my thoughts more than I do reading others replies. But strangely there is a little flock of idiots here who will carefully read, study, ponder, and then launch long, wordy replies to almost anything I post. So in that regard, I guess all of us are happy.
Anyway, back to the subject. You were, unlike many, polite in your post so I will reply to your question. I chose to take some anti-depression medication in the early 70's. I committed no acts that would even hint that I ever was a threat to any innocent person. I would have felt very wronged if under those circumstances I had lost or had my gun rights curtailed.
So, in regards to the question you asked me. If you have not been offically adjucated by a professional and fair medical team and by a professional and fair court as being a danger to society, then I would not want you to lose your gun rights. What people like you and I HAVE done should be more important than what we MIGHT do. What we might do is mere speculation. What we have done is a fact. For example if we have acted out violent agression against an innocent person.
Now I am not trying to tell you what to do or how to raise your children, but in regards to you trusting your children around an unattended loaded firearm, please remember that once a bullet is fired, it cannot be called back. I honestly do not want to ever hear of any firearm accidents for anyone on this forum (or anywhere else for that matter.)
I myself have a now 7 year old grandson running around my house yet I will not rid myself of always having a loaded firearm handy. So I spent about $35.00 and bought a digital safe for my nightstand. I have it programmed so by only pushing two buttons I can access my loaded and chambered handgun. Just FYI0 -
I have seen that before. That is Rock Island Arsanal which is different than the Rock Island Armory firearms.
But it is an interesting read.0
