What is the best company to ship a Heavy item?

Looking at an item on Ebay that I can't find anywhere else.

This item is in Minnesota and weighs 300lbs. The seller stated that he wouldn't ship, but I emailed him and if I can find an easy shipping solution for him he would be willing to ship.

UPS, USPS, DHL etc don't want such a heavy package so what company is good for heavy packages.

    Check with some Mortor cycle dealers who recieve products in boxes weighing that much daily.

    I found one I really like and is midpriced in the higher quality lines. Once I get the item in my head I want, I know I won't be happy with any other one so I stop looking.

    They do not have it in stock. The problem is that the company that makes this table has been aqcuired by another gaming company and when I talked to them, they didn't know if anymore would be made or not.

    What size/shape? If it is something that can fit on a pallet (say, an engine) then you pallet it up and build a box around it...

    Cheapest shipping for it would be to truck it down to greyhound bus station, buy it a ticket, put it on, and have someone at the destination to take it off and take it home... This is the method a few folks on an antique Porsche forum have used in the past...

    You can check one of the LTL frieght companies (ie: ABF, Yellow, ect)

    Shipping can be done by pallet. I used to ship a single pallet (about 400lbs) over 2000 miles for about $350 with ABF.

    If you are seeking an affordable high quality foosball table, I recommend Tornado. I found a link on ebay where the vendor is selling a Tornado Foosball table for roughly $600 (Shipping included).

    I like to fancy myself a decent foosballer, and I believe that the Tornado model is the best maker of foosball tables. Tornado is the model used at the World Championships in Dallas, TX, although not the model listed below. I own the Tornado Tournament T-2000 model, and I haven't regretted it one bit.

    But if you are looking to spend around $500 + shipping, then I would highly recommend that you consider the auction listed below.

    pick up your phone book, and look for gaming entertainment business, the type of vending business that supplies these to bars, you may be surprised what you can find in your own backyard

    Don't laugh at the Greyhound idea. I've used them many times. Not only was the price good but delivery within a reasonable distance is faster than anything else you can use. I have shipped items in the morning & had people pick them up the same day.

    There are lots of freight companies out there. ABF, Yellow, Dayton, ect. thats the best and easiest way to do it, just drop it off at their terminal.

    i live about 30min from rockford. if the table is in the box, buy it, ill pick it up, and you can decide your method for shipping...

    again...only if its disassembled or in the box...

    This is no discount, class 100 @ 500 LB
    If you ship a lot of LTL you might get a 60% discount.
    You still need somebody to pack it up & load it at the origin.

    a 300 lbs foosball table......whats it made out of concrete?

    dongizmo, wow too much for me. The company that sells them but is always out of stock says they ship them for about $200.





    reloader44mag, It is solid Acrylic. About 1.5 inches thick. It is best if a foosball table weighs quite a bit so when you are playing it, it doesnt move all around.

    For that product if it is unassembled and in a flat box you can get by with Class 70 which will be quite a bit of savings on the shipping.

    As a rule class 50 (lowest class) costs half as much as class 100. So by going class 70 you will get about a 35% savings or so depending on the company.
