2.2 chevy engine
Anybody have one of these. Eotech model. What do you think about dependability?

have one in an 02 cavalier, so far so good, has about 60K but recently replaced both o2 sensors. Very peppey and seam to get good gas milage. 0 -
I bought a new '04 Sunfire and was surprized of the power. I put about 70K on in and I had zero problems. I gave that car to my son last smmer and bought a new HHR with the optional 2.4 - 173 HP and don't like it at all - even with an additional 30 HP. I'm beginning to think it is programmed to shift too low. The torque curve moves up quite a bit from the 2.2. I checked the overall gearing with the tack in each car and they are the same. I challanged my son to a drag race and he blew my doors off! 0 -
I am looking at an HHR now with a 2.2 and a 5 speed, which I prefer. It seems to have plenty of pep. I was trying to get an idea of weather or not there was any known weaknesses that would cause it to crap out early. (cam,rods,mains,seals etc.) Thanks for the feedback! 0 -
I replaced the head on a 2.2, but it was because some idiot decided to replace the head gasket for no reason and ended up screwing it all up on the install. 0 -
...dang, the engine on my lawn mower is bigger than that...[:D]
