i thought he had like 5-6 RIAs 0 -
I have 6 of them and all have been flawless! I use them as daily carry guns unless I am in shorts and tshirt, and then I carry my Taurus .38 snub.
Two of them have over 5000 rounds each through them and show very little wear.
They are also compatible with after market parts if you wanted to customize them. I fully customized one of my Comander models with all Wilson Combat parts and only the beavertail took some minor fitting.
You can also look around at this forum for more info:

There are alot of good people there, and some of the higher ups with RIA/Armscor regularly post there as well.
My opinion is they are the best thing going in 1911's unless you want to spend over $1000 for something like a Wilson or such.0 -
No thank you to the $1,000.00+ for the Wilson Combat even if they are excellent guns.I am mainly looking for a true mil-spec as close to the original as possible. 0 -
I do got to take one comment back!
I did get one of my Rocks that had a cross-threaded grip screw from the factory!
But I called Ivan at RIA and he got me a new screw and bushing right out to me and I recieved it in 3 days. They did this with no questions asked.0 -

RIA GI would fit the bill just fine!
Right now they are running in the $380 range (sometimes a little cheeper).
If you get one on the auction side, look for Bellshire Guns! 4 of my 6 rocks came from them and they have about the best priceing.0 -

I'd look closely at that one.
It may be a pieced together gun.
The frame looks like duracoat and the slide looks parkerized.
And if you don't like the grips his price is too high since you can get one from Bellshire NIB for $360 delivered!
