I don't post very frequently, but on this 11th day of the 11th month, I would like to take up enough space on this board to voice my thanks for all our Veterans.

There are many of you who I didn't list in the subject of this post, but rest assured you are equal in my thoughts today and every day. I am ever aware that the freedoms my family and I enjoy have come at a heavy price.

My sincere gratitude for your service and sacrifies. Thank you - Donny

    I was glad to have the priveledge to serve our country. I might have learned more about the world in the four years I served than I had in the previous 18 years.

    I always make it a point to thank veterans for their service every day of the year, even zoomies, squids, and dogfaces. [;)] Seriously though, when I see someone with a veteran license plate of any kind or wearing a hat that indicates service I say, "Thanks for serving our country, I appreciate it."

    You're welcome. My service was during peace time and that makes me all the more grateful and proud of our men and women who are serving now and during past conflicts. One day a year seems inadequate to show a nation's appreciation.

    I appreciate the sentiment but I have never thought that I was doing anything special. It was just.....what we chose to do. There are those that have made far more and greater sacrifices than I have.

    This is so different from what I remember during my military days. My career went from 1956 to 1971..Obviously during the Viet Nam days, but more importantly, during the hippy, liberal flower children Jane Fonda days. The memorial days I remember from my period were somewhat different than I see today. No further comment is necessary in my opinion. If you remember, then no more is necessary. If you don't, then it is history to you.

    For those who really know..You are welcome, and thank you. For those who don't, The same respect, but you just don't. Either way, I humbly thank you too.
