Thats a blanket statment
"New Laws" or "Amendment's" to proposed laws/old laws etc. Don't get me wrong, as a fellow gun owner fighting for the something. I respect your opinion.
But I don't see the NRA going along with a anti gun agenda. I get your point, but I think that allowing criminals, drug cartels, illegals, organized crime etc to continue to operate by and large, IS part of the plan to erode the RTKBA, not the "cause" of the erosion.
If the government aggressively went after these criminal elements consistently and without fail, where would the next "gun crisis" be found. The gov't REQUIRES the "bogeyman" of active criminals, so that they can whip up the fear in people and get them to support additional infringements on the RTKBA.
The NRA issue is a whole different problem. They purport to be staunch defenders of the 2A, but clearly, their history, continual and current actions say otherwise.0 -

Don't bother debating the NRA here on GB.com. How and why I do not know, but it is infested with NRA haters. They hate the NRA with more zeal and spend more time, effort and energy voicing their hate for the NRA than do the actual anti-gun people. In fact some of these guys even kinda amaze me because they never seem to sleep and are almost always ready to instantly jump on and try to squash any pro-NRA posts. If you doubt that statement, just read and keep track of the NRA posts.
Strange thing is that if these guys were true gun rights/2A people like they claim, then they would least have the self interest to try and direct the supposely "misguided" NRA supporters into re-directing their support to some pro-gun organization. If they were true gun rights/2A supporters they would not want to see even one pro-gun person just reject the NRA and then do nothing. No, they would try and not lose the help of even that one person by at least trying to redirect their efforts.
Just as I do. I am an NRA supporter but if someone doesn't want to support the NRA I tell them that is fine but PLEASE join some other organization like the GOA, SAF, CCRKBA, JPFO, etc. In that way at least that gun owners who is sour on the NRA will still be in the fight for gun rights.
But you will rarely, if ever, hear any NRA bashers here on GB.com do anything but condemn the NRA. They rarely, if ever, urge anyone to redirect their energeries to some other organization. Their actions could not be any worse if they were some anti-gun people in disguise.0 -

No, mostly the forum is infested with NRA apologists and those who can do nothing but attempt to rationalize and justify NRA actions in support of gun-control.
Rarely do any of these NRA apologists directly attempt to refute any of the factual information presented. Normally the apologists resort to personal attacks, or diversionary attacks on those who post, or author, factual information that presents the NRA in their true light.
As with most of TR's rants, his assertion that those of us who want to educate NRA members about the NRA's complicity, support, facilitation and compromise of further infringements of Amendment II, "rarely, if ever" direct others to other, actual pro-gun organizations, is provably false.
Speaking for myself, I would love to see the 4 million NRA members go to an organization that supports Amendment II, such as JPFO or GOA (there are others also).
I think that the continual support of the NRA allows the gradual erosion of the RTKBA to continue unchecked.The NRA is NOT going to change what it has been doing since at least the early 1930's.
