Who's drinking yet?
I'm bored to death here.
Slept in till 5:30, got up and played around the net and watched TV. Just been sitting around all day. All laundry, dishes, vacuuming etc been done. Can't lobster on Sunday until Sept. Another great law.[}:)]
I have a new Tapvat in the fridge and might have a couple pints.
So who's drinking already or who's still drunk?

Just cracked my first one. It's ironic that you mentioned "lobstering" as I've got a fresh one for the grill tonight![:p][:D][8D][;)]

SuburbanNoize - I can't afford grass. Seriously. The house is on a cement pad on a larger gravel pad. Can't afford the loam to start raising grass, but then I don't need to cut it either.
gbeggrow - How do you grill them. We pretty much stay to the tried and true boiling method. Do you have a recipe?0 -
Just popped one a few minutes ago![:D] 0 -
Actually there's not much to it (that's the beauty of it). I first make the marinade/butter sauce while enjoying a frost adult beverage.[^]
1/4 cup of butter
1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
juice of one lemon
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon of "Old Bay" (yeaaaaaauh)
1/2 table spoon of paprika
Combine and heat (have another frosty adult beverage).
* Take the claws and crack them open but leave in the shell.
* Use heavy duty kitchen scissors to split the tail down the middle all the way to the tail.
* butterfly the tail about 3/4 of the way through.
* Apply the butter sauce marinade to the tail and claws fifteen minutes prior to grilling.
* Have another frosty adult beverage.[:D]
* Place some water soaked skewers through both sides of the tail so it does not curl when grilling.
* Place claws on grill at the same time as the tail.
* Grill butterflied side of tail down first (on low and slow heat).[;)]
* Grill each side of both the claws and tail until meat turns a nice white color (about 7-8 minutes on each side of the claws and about 10 for each side of the tail).
* Baste several times while cooking with butter sauce/marinade.
* Use the rest of the butter sauce for dipping (sperate one made so you don't get sick from the raw meat) and don't forget to shower the tender meat with some fresh squeezed lemon before eating.[:p][:D]
That's about it.[;)][8D][:D]

Had about 13 yesterday from about 1pm til 11pm...some friends came home from Iowa and were visiting. I might have a few for the Eagle's game tonight though. 0 -
Thanks!
Will definitely have to try it when I can afford the lobster. [;)]
Actually the price of hard lobsters drops to the same price as shedders late in the season and that is when we eat them. We save the better hard lobsters for ourselves but right now at $7.00 a pound for hard lobsters, it's too much money.0 -
Well GRD, I think I have seen a first here. Iced Tea at this time of day. What is the world coming to?[:D] 0 -
..I started drinking at 5:45 this morning. After two cups of coffee I hit the hard stuff, probably had 5 Dr Peppers today..and still going...[;)]
