    FWIW paddle driven boats probably have less impact on the area than the hikers and fishermen do.I read that the "trail" is actually an old indian trail or at least part of it. I would guess those same indians probably used boats on the river too. Limiting access in terms of numbers of boats may be a good compromise that seems to be effective in other such areas.

    restricting any means of travel on any publicly owned land weather it forest or blm is just one of the first step to imprisonment. these wackjobs could care less about preservation of anything. its another way for them to take freedoms away from us and the sad thing is people acctually think they are doing something good bye supporting it.

    I appreciate any response I can get with these folks. The United States Gov't and the US Forrest Service has forgotten who OUR forrests belong to.
