went to the er friday

since wed afternoon I had been having this pain in my middle chest area..i thought it was indegestion so I started taking tums,which I hate.two hours of sleep that night,thur same thing,maybe 2 hours sleep so friday I went to the er,,had a dr appointment that afternoon but also feeling nausea I knew from my experience at the er that I would end up there anyway,,might as well go early and get it over with.

they started an iv and gave me some iv pepcid and a thick green liquid crap to drink...which when u are nausea it is not a pleasant thing.
they drew some blood, the dr said it was upper gastric pain,,,,oh yea u went to medical school to tell me that,,,i knew that

so he wants me to go see a g i dr and have a scope done,,he also said it might be a tear which is causing acid fluid to be release from my stomach.
I am on medicine,but i cannot eat anything fatty or greasy,I get the worse pain and morning coffee no way
and as long as i take a pepcid before i eat it is ok,a little pain but not bad,,but still no greasy food.and that is hard when most of the fast foods place sell nothing but that..that really sucks

anyway i go to the dr thur afternoon for a follow up and to get a referal to the g i dr..will keep u updated

    well the funny is that he had a gun in fort worth this weekend,so once i got home friday he left and came home late last night.
    kind of good in a way cause i was not in a good mood

    One guy on here told the truth about nexium. He said he could eat a dead skunk stuffed with jalape?o peppers. Nexium works!

    I had to laugh at your reply to the DR after the dr said "it was upper gastric pain" part[:D]

    Took Nexium for about 6 months and everything got better. Stay away from spicy food till they figure out what it is.

    well it was kind of silly,,i knew i had pain and it was in the upper gastric area but that could be a few things..
    I waqs told by a dr i used to work with that gallbladder plays a main part in females with three out of four factors..

    #1 female
    #2 fertile (spelled wrong I know,nunn will fix it in a minute)
    #3 fourty
    #4 fatty

    he told me that whenever he has a female that comes in with three out of four of these,,within 99% of them have bad gallbladder

    quess we will find out more on thur and as for spicy food,,dont worry I am no interested

    Sorry to hear about the troubles, Dawnie. Is this going to be a chronic condition or did the doc say it would clear up after a while?

    went to the dr yesterday,she has order a sonogram to rule out a gallbladder before i have to go under anesthia for the scope.
    She order some more blood work and gave me some more medicine to take.
    She was also made that they didnt do the sonogram at the er.

    will know more later next week...still uncomfortable but not hurting as bad as I was.

    the endoscopic exam isnt too bad, dont worry about it. they numb your gag reflex and then put you semi-under. only takes about 40 minutes for the test. you can even do it without being under if you want.

    oh they will put me under there is no way i will have a scope put down my throat without being knocked out.

    I havent gotten the tattoo yet....

    Missed this the first time around. We'll add you to the prayer list.

    I had bladder cancer and had it removed. Had some of the same symptoms, so it could be your gaulbladder acting up. Let them do what ever they want to do to check you out. I let mine go so long it ended up in the stomach later and had to have some of it removed too.

    Be nice to David. He'll be the one taking care of you if you have to have it removed, and he might get even![}:)][:D][^]

    at this point I dont care what they do,,just find out what it is and take care of it...I am tired of this pain and discomfort.
