Try "Bronx in Blue" by Dion Dimucci. Yeah, I know, the "Wanderer" and "Run Around Sue" don't exactly suggest blues, but this is without a doubt the best old Italian guy with a guitar doing an old black guy with a guitar I have heard yet.     Thanks for the link....I listened to the samples...Very very nice...
    There is no one like Stevie Ray, never will be either.....Whenever I hear him it takes me back to Boot Hill Saloon in Daytona Beach....

    +1 on there never being another SRV.
    But another GREAT Blues record is Eric Claptons "Just One Night", recorded live cicra 1980. Almost entirely a Blues album.
    Clapton and SRV have different styles. But Clapton can THROW DOWN on some blues!

    I think can I speak for all of us in saying that we very much appreciate your sacrifice and service for our country. But not all of us who like Rock music were part of, or agree w/what the Liberals did back then. And if you watch,they are starting it back up now w/that traitor De Palma movie.
    I'll tell you right now. The 1st SOB I hear calling our troops "baby kilers" or some-such is going to get his ass whooped.

    eboydell: You think you are the only one that was in those rice paddies?? The Vietnam war had nothing to do with whether one likes a certain type music or not..

    Drugs?? I picked up more heroin vials around base camp than you could count, used nightly by our own troops.

    The music of the times was spawned by Vietnam and the outrage the american people thought about that little skirmish..

    Yes I was there 1968 and back again in 1971. Most vets dont use Nam as a measure to what they like/liked . You really need to let it go as it has been over 30 years. as its been 35 years for me..
