1911 frame question
What is the best frame for the 1911 platform for a new build that is prices right? Any info and/or direction be helpful.

For an inexpensive frame, look at Essex frames.0 -
you can Get one of the Doublestar frames with a parkerized finish for 125.00

Essex frames are fine and affordable.
here is my Essex build.0 -
accuracy is all in the proper fitting regardless if the frame manufacturer, the key to the typical high dollar frames, and complete 1911's is the quality of the steel, essex sports a 24 to 32RC., half that of a carbon steel frame, lower quality steel will not hold up to extended amounts of shooting and hold the same tolerances, and ria's cast frame cannot possible be considered as good as quality as a carbon steel cnc bar stock frame, but will also cost you 75% less 0 -

Sorry guys for not responding sooner, it has been one of those weeks. Anyway, my purpose is that I have a passion of the 1911 platform and would like to build my own that would meet my requirements as a carry gun. 0 -

I still recomend the RIA! I use mine for personal carry all the time!
All 6 of my RIA's have been nothing short of perfect handleing any type of ammo I have ever fed them.
They are also interchangable with about any custom parts that you may want to use. As illistrated with my custom mid-sized RIA that I redid useing all Wilson Combat Stainless Steel parts!0
