SELL OUT OF AMERICAN TRUCKERS
Last week President Bush met with Mexican President Calder?n and Canadian Prime Minister Harper as part of the second Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) summit to hone their plan for a North American Union that would merge the U.S. with Canada and Mexico.
Proponents say the SPP was designed as a means to further integrate the economies of the three countries believing that this would create increased economic gains and security for all three countries.
But we know the truth. [:(!][V][xx(][:(]
The SPP is designed to circumvent Congress and provide the Executive Branch the power to enforce and execute the law without any input from Congress.
Both the Canadian and Mexican governments strongly oppose many of the security measures enacted by the United States, most notably the U.S. Visit system requiring DHS to keep record of everyone who enters or leaves the country. These countries are actively trying to persuade the President to rescind this provision.
In addition, both countries are lobbying to stop the new passport requirements governed by the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. This initiative was enacted by Congress as a way to protect our country from terrorism.
If that isn't enough, the SPP has regulatory changes and open border provisions that blatantly undermine our sovereignty - and seriously threaten our national security - such as the "trusted travelers program", a program that allows participants to bypass border checks and move through the countries freely.
As far back as the inception of the Bush presidency in 2000, FAIR exposed the frequent meetings between President Bush and then Mexican President Vincente Fox to discuss fewer restrictions on travel for citizens between the two countries.
In addition, FAIR has been exposing the short-sighted Bush plan to eventually erase the border between the US and Mexico.and American sovereignty since 2000.
We promise to continue to show these closed-door meetings and behind-the-scenes agreements for what they are.an attempt to override all legally mandated limitations on U.S. immigration policy-to once again disregard U.S. law.
FAIR needs your support now to continue to play a leading role in educating the public and informing the media to once again HALT ALL DESTRUCTIVE ATTEMPTS to remove the barriers to crossing the borders and threaten the security of our country.
Your generous contribution is vital in helping us fight and win this battle for all Americans.

I've got a feeling that Mexican trucks will either need good disguises or armed guards to prevent a rash of unfortunant breakdowns and flat tires while parked in American truckstops. 0 -
i think this could actually start a Revolutionary War. i mean a hell lot if not 99.9% would disagree with this. think about it, no more SS (we wouldn't see a cent back you can bet on that, Health Care would go to shambles. More LAWS!!!! I somehow don't see this happening but if it does i got a feeling it won't be good for Congress and anyone who votes for it. It would tear the Country apart. 0 -
Just another nail in the proverbial coffin. 0 -
For those of you who think that this Bush is resposable for this need to think again!
NAFTA is the reason this is takeing place!
NAFTA was formed in 1994 and was also supported by the Clinton Administration!
The agreement for the Mexican trucks to cross the border was originally agreed upon by Clinton about 10 years ago before G.W. Bush was even running for president!
I was in trucking at that time and remember all the talking going on then!
Of course all you Bush Bashers will not believe this so go start reading about NAFTA for yourselves!0
