    +1

I don't need to shave very often anyway as it just does not grow on me. But rather than shave I normally just use my mustach trimmer with no gaurd on it.

About once a month I will actually shave with a razor (more often if I need to get dressed up for something) so my razors last me 6 to 8 months anyway!

I've done that since I started shaving. I only have to shave twice a week if that and I can't remember the last time I bought razors. I just dry them on a towel and store them without the covers on.

Yes, Clark Howard is extremely cheap. He does have great consumer advice, though.
I wouldn't try the hair dryer trick, buying a hair dryer would defeat the purpose.
I will try drying the razor off, though, that is not too much trouble.
Now, I have heard that you can sharpen razor blades by putting them inside a small pyramid. Not too sure about that one, I think I got it off of Art Bell.

What ya'll shave with then? The one with two blades, three blades, five? six? How high up are they now? I've lost count. I think the latest could cut off my whole face down to my belly button with one stroke.

Oh, and I heard there's one now that shocks you so your beard stands up. Wall Street has no bounds..[:D][:D]

    Mach III.

Blades last me about 6 months, and I think the only reason I change them is to do my part in helping Gillette remain a viable American company.

But do they ever thank me....???

I still use the old Trac2 blades,......hate all the new ones.
I have been shaving with a heavy brass handle razor with those blades since I was 16.
When they eliminate Trac2, I will be lost![:(]

Yeah, I'm going to try that, but not until the USMC lets me go...

I get about 2 months out of a gilette fusion (5-blade).

Go electric and you'll never go back. Shaves much closer than a blade with no mess!

there's a joke around here... if you hang a razor blade underneath the st. louis arch, it will get dull.

I have the same problem. [:(]

I don't use blades, rather a electric. I don't rinse it out with water. knock the hair out and dockit. do it again at 5pm [:(]

the first set of electric blades lasted almost 2 yrs before i notice them pulling a bit.

I just have a little jar that has mineral oil in it and when done I just rinse the razor shake dry and put in the oil. Clark Howard and it lasts for months.

Not for me. I got an electric razor for christmas one year, used it maybe twice before giving up on it. It simply would not cut my hair - I guess my hair grows in at a weird angle that the razor couldn't handle.

Mach III for me- a 4 pack of blades usually lasts around 6 to 8 months.

I can't go electric anymore. Burned up several motors from the thickness and coarseness of my whiskers.

When I'm feeling ornery, I eschew the plastic throw-away and pull out the old solid-brass Gillette with the two-sided blade, plus the brush and soap. The family uses this as a sign to generally avoid me for a while, and hide the whiskey. I get whistful, and whine about the old days (even though I wasn't really there when they happened).

I use an old brass Gillette with safety blades, just like the old days. A blade only lasts me about a week, but then again, I have a very rough beard.
