any body know any thing about phelps mfg.co
evansville IN. heritage I 45-70 revolver.

  Upsized Colt SAA clone.
  
  Brass trigger guards on some.
  
  Pretty unusual. Had one for a short time back in the early 90s. Never fired it.
  
  Another company. Century or Heritage or something, made a similiar, if not identical gun.
  
  Wish I knew more.

  They are in the blue book, page 1275...Following below is what is said in the book...
  
  Previous manufacturer located in Evansville, IN circa 1978-1996.
  
  Phelps Manufacturing Company began shipping guns in early 1978. Phelps guns were investment cast in 4140 stell with basic single action simplicity, using a transfer bar in the action.
  
  Heritage 1
  
  45-70, single action revolver, incorporates transfer bar hammer safety, blue finish (standard) nickel (optional), adj rear sight, 8in barrel standard, other barrel lengths up to 20in available. 6lbs. Disc. 1996
  
  100% is 2050 down to 60% at 715
  
  MSR was 2250.
