My Mom & Dad used to listen to him when i was a kid(60s & 70s). But now that i'm in my 40s, i have found an appreciation of the older country/western music. I remember the Parents taking me to see Porter & Dolly and a few others at the Syracuse War Memorial around 71 or 72. Now i look back on it and i'm glad that i saw the show 0 -

I got to see him a couple times at the Grand Ol Opry.

He may have been a great singer, but he was a total jack ass...seen him in person, talked to him.....he put on a great act....ACT!!!!! 0
