Todays America does not like someone openly exercising their rights.

I think that their drawing attention to the right to carry is a good thing. Sounds like they are being responsible, respectful and polite.

    What more can anyone expect?

It certainly would be more of a deterrant if everyone did the same...

The problem is the kid is trolling for a lawsuit to make the family rich. These are not the people they are made out to be in this story.

Be careful who you side with here. This isn't what it seems.

So what? If the lawsuit brings more attention to second amendment rights, I say go for it!

My wife and I frequently drive between the small North Idaho town of Athol and Lake Pend Oreille. It is not unusual to see a pair of boys with .22 rifles over their shoulders walking along the road.

In this country it is not only legal, it is normal and it looks and feels normal.

Any particular reason why you assume this?

quote:"My advice for them is the same as it is with adults - yes it's your right and yes it's legal, but why draw unnecessary attention to yourself just because you can?" Santos said. "I believe the intent (of the law) was to allow it more for hunting and recreation."
Mister Santos is a "good thinker". The whole concept of law vs. freedom is backwards in his mind, which after all, is as it should be.

Anything is presumed to be legal if there is no law, ordinance, or regulation against it. In Mister Santos' mind the government must grant permission for everything. Otherwise it isn't legal.

When we can get everyone thinking this way the Clintons, Kennedys, Obamas and Michael Moore can retire in peace.

Just imagine what Mayor Bloomberg of NYC would do to those two boys if that took place in NYC!

Its great that Idaho is still free! Not many places left in American that are like that.

So would it still be legal for them to carry an ak 47 and a mac 10?

I read his whole blog on this incident a little while ago.

I don't know where it is or I would provide a link. When I run across it again I will provide it.

I remember when you could open carry here in Iowa. I left for the Army for ten years, and came back and some idiots made a law against it.

I assume that it would "still be legal". Why should that be any of your business, or concern?

If they misuse a gun, you punish the behavior and the individual, nothing more, nothing less.

    What is your problem?
