A Farewell to My NRA Friend or Foe Post
Damn, I just got home and was ready to tuck in and get it on again. To my surprise I found that my NRA post has been summarily executed for unknown reasons.
I guess I have officially been "poofed".[:I]
Does anyone have the straight-skinny on what caused Sir Poof to deal a death blow to it?
Maybe I played a little rough with the wee-baby hecklers and ruffled someones pampers a bit.[:o)]
If anyone can enlighten me, I would appreciate it. Some of that (my stuff) was good material.[;)][:o)]

I have made this suggestion before. If you pen a portion of prose of which you are particularly proud, and you post it here, where poofage is a possibility, COPY it and SAVE it in a Word file so you can repost if you want to later.
99% of the time it isn't the original post that gets a thread poofed, but the angry nasty replies.0 -

Good advice David, but I can produce lots more where that came from.[;)] All this from a troll no less.[:o)]0 -
One of the better discussions that has taken place for quite awhile.
Covered a lot of territory and was most interesting. Indeed I should have copied it.0 -
Dare I suggest a "free-fire zone" forum?
Often called "Dumping Brass", "The Pit" or on my forums "The scrapyard?"
That way those with tender sensibilities can feel all safe and Mr. Rogers where there's an overabundance of "adult supervison" and they're sure no one's gonna hurt their feelies.
Much in the same fashion that many of us like to shoot out in the woods, while others just have to shoot at a supervised range, complete with Range Officers to tell them what to do and when to do it.

3 PAGES of replies POOFED because of a couple of posts???
Me thinks maybe (as the NRA said about the DC case) "it was TOO GOOD"
Oh well, it's gone now.0 -
It was just like listening to children bicker; grows old fast. Glad to see it go. 0 -

"Children bicker"....indeed.
That IS a child-like response to adults discussing world changing events and issues...the typical bored-out-of-their-tiny-minds teen-agers when adults tell them that drugs are bad for them.0 -
I ponder how, or more accurately, whether this country would've even been founded, were the pusillianimous, milquetoast, "I'm so much better than those bickering children", arrogant, A-hole attitude had prevailed.
Allow me to remind you, Gentlemen, that IDEAS are fluid and magical. The founders argued, yelled, threatened each other, while drinking obscene amounts of beer, and basically hammered out the foundation for what is the greatest country on Earth.
No one, that I know of, ever called a "moderator" to the Pub, because the "children were bickering".
Perhaps a retirement home is best suited for some of the posters. Shuffleboard pucks seldom want to argue politics or Freedom.
(And we wonder why we lack the temerity to win this War against 6th Century headchopping savages...)

offering a room to allow people to fire away without guide does not promote proper civil behaviour. 0 -
those who can't hang can stay on the porch.
It has always been this way. Only on the Interweb, do folks want to run their mouths "just a bit" and then whine when called on it.
America is about FREE Speech, not UNACCOUNTABLE speech.
Freedom Forever.

Crap, no matter how well-phrased or grammatically correct is still crap.
The Pinheadnet is full enough of slander and lies, what was so special about yours?0 -

If that was directed here, it isn't about me, it is about the issue.[;)]
Again, if directed here, you may want to learn what "humor" is.0 -

There are those that are not fortunate enough to live close enough to the "Woods" as they would like so most city Dwellers go to organized ranges for their sport. Trap and Skeet shooting are very difficult out in the woods for those not prepared to set up Skeet houses and Trap houses to get the real feeling for those two sports. Try setting up a sanctioned tourny out in the woods. LMAO
At our Club range, the Range officers dont say a thing about how to do things unless you break some safety rules.
As far as the NRA goes, yes they do some training at our club, and it isnt FREE as some might want you to think. It seems in the shooting circle the NRA is the "Only Game In Town" as far as certain training options. For example they put on a Range officer training safety program, certificate is good for one to two years, then 35 more bucks and you can get it renewed. What the hell can change in a year on gun safety?? "Just keep sending in your money we will make it right"
Our club found another source of insurance much better than the NRA policy. Now the NRA isnt the "Only game in town" for gun range insurance.
Am I a member of the NRA? YES! Probably longer than some of you have been alive. Am I happy with the NRA? NO! They have succumed to the almighty dollar and playing politics with the constitution.0
