    Last week I posted this picture of a Vaquero that I was making oversized grips for,out of Bolivian Rosewood for a friend of mine. The Pine prototype was a little smaller than he needed so as a result I made em larger.

    From the original to the Block of wood to the almost finished side. I know it looks huge compared to the original but the only difference in size is the thickness of about 1/8th inch and the length of about 1 inch.

    It takes a while as the wood is kinda brittle when I get it, have to treat it with linseed oil for a week, then the actual cutting , shaping and fitting takes a couple days for each side, as the bottom of the grips cover the grip frame completly..
