Deer Cane...
I just put in a Deer Cane plot in one of my field's earlier. I'm very interested to see how the deer use it. Has anyone here used this stuff? And if so, what were the result's?

iv used it before in two place one they tore up and the other place never even got much attion. both in diff. countys
but I have used comer deer (spelling)in two countys and both have had great results as with friends I know..0 -
I used it last year and it got little attention. 0 -
I've used it the past two years with good results. Deer have dug a hole about 1 1/2 deep over a 4 sq. ft. area that I cleared. Refreshed it about a 3 weeks ago with the "black" looking powder. Never used the liquid version, so can't attest to it. 0 -
miracle grow works very well also, they like the mineral salts, and much cheaper 0 -

I can tell you folks, you are foolish to buy the store brand stuff.
All that is in the stuff is :
Sugar, calcium barbonate (ground limestone) and salt or mineral.
All this stuff can be bought at a co-op(feedmill) and mixed yourself MUCH cheaper. Deer WILL tear up the ground if you put it on a trail the deer are currently using.0
