Okay, lets see who can figure it out....
I go to a site to play online games...have no problem loading quite a few, BUT when I want to load a certain game, it will get to the point of just starting to load and then the browser window closes...WHy?
Also happened when I clicked on sarge's link about his niece....browser window closed..
NO, there are no pop up stoppers running etc...so why?0 -
I can x out of all programs/websites and
can still hear my computer running.
How do I find out what it is trying to run ?
Thanks in advance.0 -

Are you playing the new HALO game BR? 0 -
No,..not the new Halo game...dont even know what the heck that is...Its cubis I want to play but wont let me..
Explorer, version 6..
History is cleared every day as are cookies etc...0 -
try clearing your history, cookies and files 0 -
that's odd... when I clicked on the link to the story about the crashed airplane (spryor's post) it loaded, then all browser windows closed themselves. 0 -
Its probably overloading itself, terminating any processes it can to help clear up the issue.
Do you have any processes running you dont have to have running?
Thats what it did to my old computer before we got this one, and it did it to my grandpas computer, he upgraded his, then he dumped it and got a new one also
Could be wrong, but speaking from experience.0 -
bushmaster...that is what I am talking about...there is nothing running extra...but the windows close...
Really ticks me off...I have to go to another site to play Cubis..and as for sarge's niece and the link he provided, I cant see what it is, or where to pledge...nothing.. windows close0 -
could be anything from a virus to the host sites not allowing ie6, allot are going to ie7, as well as directx10, last time it happened to me it was a virus about 3 months ag, i was using ie6 as you are, i forget what it was called but i would get it every time i went to photobucket, try a virus/spyware scan then try upgrading to ie7, or downloading another browser, in the old days it sucked because if you built your site using netscape only netscape browsers could view it, and vice verse, now microsoft is doing something similar with ie6 so you have to update, and you cannot update to ie7 without passing a validation test to thwart bogus xp users who will not pass the validation 0 -
not a virus..Just ticks me off..
As for sarge's link about his niece, can some one please let me know about the donations or pledges?...
Sarge?0 -
It freezes on me too.
EDIT:
Nevermind, it isnt a paypal screen, so i dont know
Download firefox, you wont regret it0 -
Microsoft Internet Explorer is THE most vulnerable http client ever coded. There could be hundreds of reasons if not hundreds of thousands of reason why IE crashes. Your best bet is to download firefox. 0 -
One more vote for firefox... and a recommendation to go to Ubuntu instead of windows as well. You can download a live cd that you can boot to and be running the OS as if it were installed. Reboot, take out CD, back to your Windows... 0
