New handgun purchase today
I went down to the local gunshop today to look at and possibly purchase an XD for C.C. I had just about decided on the XD40SC but they didn't have any in stock. The compact felt to big to conceal well. I looked at the M&P compact, a couple of Kahrs (grip was too small for my hands). I then looked at the Taurus PT140 Millinium Pro in S.S. I ended up going home with it and a box of Speer Gold dot's for it to eat. I bought an uncle Mikes IWB and the whole package is very comfortable and concealable. I think I'm gonna like it. If it would just cool down so I can take it to the range. It's too dang hot to shoot today.

Tell me about it. It's going to be close to 110 today. It's already over 100. Hot wheather always puts everyone in a crappy mood.
Show us pix of the new gun. I really like Traurus.
Where do you shoot at?0 -
Either at a friends house in Washington County, Clark St. Forestry's gun range, or in Crawford Co. None of them are ideal but it's all I've got. I used to shoot at my in-laws but a couple of houses have been built behind their's. 0 -
I figure you would shoot at Henryville. 0 -
It's ok during the week but on weekends there are some scary people up there that have no business shooting. 0 -
I know it's a good distance for you, but do you ever go to North Vernon/Vernon? 0 -
Have been to the dirt track a few times. Is there a range? Is it at Crosely (SP?) or Brush Creek? It's not to far. 0 -

Crosly. It's a really nice place. With a 25, 50, 100 and a 200 yards with shelter houses. Also a skeet range. I don't shoot there alot. I go to canoe and mountain bike mostly. Haven't been in awhile though.
My family have a alot of land for me to shoot at.0 -
How's the canoeing? Fishing? I've thought about dragging my canoe up there but wasn't sure about access sites. ect. 0 -

Congratulations on the new pistol. I think you will like it very much. I had a PT 145 for a couple of years and really liked it. Only thing I didn't like was the long DA trigger pull. It was a great little gun. 0 -
congratulations on the new gun. 0
