Watch for changes in Social Security benefits
Now that our "brilliant" leaders in Washington have decided to give Social Security benefits to illegal aliens and with the Social Security system "already in trouble"----I can foresee changes coming that will affect SS payouts.
I'll be willing to bet that one thing that will be terminated will be early retirement (age 62). Sooner or later our "great leaders" will change SS eligibility to your "full retirement age". They don't care because our leaders, personally, don't need SS.
Any bets?

I left the SS system behind when I took my latest job.
Just one of the things that made taking a slight cut in income seem a little more appealing.0 -
I bet I'm going to be asking for a refund if SS isn't around when I retire.
I don't see how giving illegal aliens SS passed anything. I don't see where our leaders think we can benifit as a country from all these illegals. I mean don't they see the strain? Even if they don't care because it doesn't affect them, they still need to be getting something from letting so many in and so many stay here. Wheres the up side even for them?0 -
buying votes...senator sam(wannabe potus) brownback of kansas is on record as voting to give illegals SS benefits...add that to big business groups hiring same in this state would hopefully garner him a larger electorate pool (after amnesty) of appreciative voters...but i think that when enuff of them exercise their franchise & bring hispanic members to public office that will create a great difference in our societies focus to where in some areas the white anglo-saxon voter will be a minority 0 -
When I was a Gubment employee as a Civilian I paid no SS , we paid into a private retirement account. I dont know about today though whether Gubment employees are sugject to SS or not. All my SS payments came from the 21 years of military service and the work I did outside the Gubment job I held. 0 -

my friend jason is disabled, he was born with messed up joints and it caused him to develop juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Up until last month he collected 500 some dollars a month. Hes only 18, he works at Long John Silvers and he lives with my best good friend, his brother josh. Josh works at taco bell and brings in enough to cover utilities, his brother can onl work part time due to his illness, but he covered the rent with his disability and his check from part time LJS. They cant move back home. they got a letter last month saying there would be no more checks. This is completely out of the blue. Had to tell someone about that, its insane they just took it away, when he is disabled for life. They also stopped his fathers death benefits. -Dave 0 -
