I was at a gun show about 25 years ago and this guy had a Colt SAA that looks like it was dug up out of the ground, and he had a Colt letter that said the gun was shipped to Wyatt Earp. He was asking $120,000. 0 -

I got a complimentary catalog of the Rock Island Gun Auction coming up December 8, 9, 10th. One of the revolvers they have a projected sale of $375,000-$650,000. A couple more over $200,000. Would like to see them, but I think I will stay at home for this one. 0 -

The transferable mini's have seen seem to run about $250,000. Then there the transferable MK19 which seems to run about $400,000.0 -

There is only one. Two arrived for the trials. One was used and most historians agree that is was destroyed. The one in the collection was the backup piece. There were a number (200 or so) that were issued for field trials with the army, but they were in 9mm (or 7.65).
ADDENDUM; You might have seen one of John Marz's .45 Lugers. He would take two 9mm's and weld them together to make one wide enough for the .45. They go for a couple grand apiece last time I checked.0 -

-I can't say with absolute certainty, but I was told this was the gun and not a conversion. It was in a locked, velvet lined case with a very deep, custom fitted impression for the gun to lie in. there was a solid top for the case, which had a mating impression that fit over the gun to hold it in place. They took that top off the case and displayed the gun with a special case top with fitted glass. I spoke to the folks there for about five minutes and the fellow spontaneously unlocked the case and handed me the gun. There was a woman there that was visibly agitated by that. I didn't crank it, but held it and inspected it very closely.
Maybe it was a conversion, I don't know, but I don't think so. If it was, they were sure making a big deal out of a welded-up Luger.0 -
Around 30 years ago, I happened to be shooting skeet with a bunch of guys near LA. One of the guys was Parnelli Jones - this was before his murder - and we went into the shop that was there. He bought an Italian shotgun of some sort on the spot and paid $50,000 for it. It had 3 barrel sets and a nice fitted case and pretty wood.
He let me chuck it up, and it was very nice.
I was impressed by his incredibly conspicuous consumption, but not impressed $50K worth by the scattergun.

I have a two gun set of Franci Imperial's in 20 Gauge that we are asking $141,500 for, but to have them ordered new it would cost closer to $200,000.
When we first opened the store we had two 4 gun sets of Perazzi "Extra Super" grade guns. The first set sold on opening night for $385,000 while the other set sold 4 days later for $435,000.
Any of the "best gun" builders have custom made guns that will run in the $300 to $400,000 range. Just take a look at the prices of these Bespoke Weapons from Holland & Holland (remember, the pound is worth $3 American):

That I've seen (and handled) personally.... A signed Jacob Dickert Lancaster rifle, original flintlock, one of his later (early 1800's) pieces. Nothing more than the tiny dings and scuffs you'd expect to find on a 200-year-old rifle, and (I was told) the bore was still good. Definitely shootable (that attitude is why God will never permit me the financial means to own such guns [:D]). Given the name on the barrel and the condition, worth in the low six figures -- so I've been told. That might be a high guesstimate. 0 -

I was at an auction where they had a Colt SAA that had been with the 7th Cavalry at Little Big Horn, taken by an Indian, and then recovered. It was in mint condition. I remember them saying it would probably fetch around $150K, but I did not stay to then end and don't know what it sold for, or even if it did. 0 -

That would probably have to be either the .45 caliber P08 (The german pistol, P08 Luger.). Only two originals are known to still exist.
Or the one of a kind .45 Luger Carbine.
Which is guessed to be in excess of 1 million US$.
