Gun Question

More specific and Egyptian Hakkim (sp?) . Friend of mine was out yesterday shooting and every 2nd or 3rd shot didn't discharge. Upon inspection we notice the casings that had fired had a deeper dent in the primer than the ones that did not fire. 2 questions, do you think this is a firing pin/spring problem? And if so, anyone know where to get parts at a reasonable price?

    NEF makes the HAndi rifle with the interchangeable barrels, My daughter has a 243 single shot, simply remove one screw and the forearm and replace the barrel with a shotgun barrel.

    There are many old Model 24 Savages out there that can be bought at a decent price, they are better then the new ones in my honest opinion!

    Rossi also made one, but I'm not sure if they still do!!!

    The NEF handi rifle - shotgun combo is the way to go. I'm not favoribly impressed with the Rossi.

    I have a second comment question? I have a H&R 25-06 single shot with a heavy barrel, and its very accurate. I was told by H&R that if I wanted to buy a extra barrel(I was looking for a .264 Mag) that I would have to send the gun back to the factory and let them properly align barrel to reciever? I forget what they called it? BTW Marlin bought New England/H&R out and are still making quality firearms.

    Nighthawk- probably "headspacing" the barrel. Some makers just do not sell some of their parts- factory install only.
