Are higher-order species doomed to failure?
Are the higher order human species on this planet dooming themselves to failure and is it already too late to do anything?
Does anyone doubt that if Iran had the power to do it, they would wipe out every man, women and child in the civilized "west"? Of course, the answer is they would, and not lose any sleep over it either.
Western nations have the power to do this right now, but of course, would never even think such a thing.
Let's look at the other facts:
First world, western nations almost all have declining population growths of indigenous people. They are responsible and have offspring if and when they can afford it. So it is good for the offspring in the short term, but bad for the society in the long-term.
On the other hand, the third world nations breed like rabbits. Not a care in the world about when, where and how to raise a family of 6+ children - just breed, breed, breed.
We also as a society abhor war and strife. So our "leaders" are puzzies that have no stomach to win wars. There is only one way to win a war and that is to completely annihilate your enemy. Generations of this type of leadership will result in worse and worse war leaders that can't be counted on to win a war. Why is this important? Because war is a natural part of human existence and will never, ever go away. So we need leaders capable of winning war or else we will eventually lose. And I'm not talking lose as in leave with our tails between our legs, I'm talking lose as in our government is now taken over and controlled by the other side. Could that happen?
So eventually I see the world taking a several million year step back in evolution and the higher order human species being wiped out, and the lower order species taking over the world. Eventually all technology will crumble (having no competent caretakers), medicine will step back 1000's of years, society will decay to the point of tribal groups living a subsistence existence with war as the #1 occupation.
Then maybe in 5 million years, the process will repeat. Of course, the victors write the history, so the future group of higher order humans will not know that all they are has played out before. Are we the 1st generation of higher order humans or has all this played out before as well?

Technology and great nations have existed long ago.....only for them to be destroyed and life to return back to primedial society....over and over...and over....
It can not be stopped.,....unless Bush talked to a prophet that gave the answer to stopping the cycle....occupy Babylon? Nahhhh....that would just make it worse.0 -

Yes, as the theory goes, the liberals and socialist will be the first to go because of lack of reproduction at a sustaining rate. Homosexuals also don't reproduce well as a general rule.
Wait a minute. I am in neither group listed above but yet only planning to have one kid.
We're doomed. Our only hope is to bring in more Mexicans and culturize them to America.0
