Woman, 19, Suspected of Statutory Rape

A 19-year-old Lincoln woman has been arrested for statutory rape for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old boy in her car.
According to court records, on July 22 the alleged victim and two other boys were riding around with Tiffany K. King, 5130 W. Elba St., in her purple 1997 Plymouth Neon.
When King stopped the car so the alleged victim could get a bag he had left behind, she allegedly told the other boys, "I'll rape him if he doesn't have sex with me," according to the arrest affidavit.
Around 9:50 p.m. they allegedly drove to a park in Air Park, where the two other boys allegedly got out of the car to go skateboarding and King allegedly had sex with the 14-year-old boy. One of the other boys allegedly saw them having sex.
King and the boy allegedly had sex again the next day around 11 p.m. in the Arnold Elementary School parking lot.
She was arrested Thursday on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault.
- How does a case like this strike you guys? I have noticed a bit of a double standard with juries when it is a boy who is raped. Would be interested in your opinions. Be honest!

Their were always at least 10-12 girls there. They had to be 13yo. to go there, and had to be OUT as soon as they turned 18!!!

As a father I'd be honor-bound to take it for a test drive myself. If she lived up to my standards, then the boy has definitely "crossed over" to Manhood.
We live in a pussified society. As little at 100 years ago, these things were not uncommon, they were encouraged. For "The Law" to make a boilerplate determination as to what constitutes an "age of consent" is typical .gov BS non-sensical anti-logic at its worst.
Not everyone is ready to "mambo" at 18. Not everyone is ready to drive at 16. Not everyone is ready to drink at 21.
Parents have abrogated their roles, so we expect .gov to step in. It's a sad state of affairs, yet not unplanned by the "progressives" and Statists among us.

19 and 14 is not that far apart in age. Different states have different ages of legal consent. In south Carolina legal age of consent for is 14 if the other party is under 18. Some states have a higher legal age of consent for males than females and different ages of consent for homosexual and heterosexual sex! Try to figure that one out!

I find the replies very interesting. Most believe young boys have the mental ability to consent at a young age, while girl's brains aren't developed enough to consent.
I bet if I ran another story and changed the rapist to male and the victim to female, I would see posts calling for "death, and cries of pervert, and nail his balls to a stump and push him off."
Yep, there is a double standard and it is a HUGE one. Most here are willing to make jokes and high-five when its a boy victim. Not passing judgment, mind you, just an observation.
In the real world the men rapists get 99 years in prison...

I think it is the statutory rape charge, there is not that great a diffrence in their ages. I am sure there are some who feel that even 19 yo is to young to have consentual sex[;)]

I tend to see a lot of shades of gray, but when it comes to kids as sexual targets, I tend to see black and white. Statutory rape is statutory rape. 14 and 14 is one thing, 14 and 19 is quite another, if not as bad as 14 and 26 or 36. 0 -

I believe a 14 year old boy can give consent, I would have (if she was hot/not ugly).
A 19 guy and 14year old girl... not being a girl myself, I only have the impression that society has given me about girls being taken advantage of.
I'd leave that to the women of the forum to say if its wrong.
And here is where I think you will find the difference, because males and females are fundamentally different (and the repercussions of sex are fundamentally physically different for each gender).
I'm willing to be the % of guys who say its ok when its 14 yr old boy and 19 yr old girl - is way higher than the % of gals who say its ok when its a 14 yr old girl and a 19 yr old guy.

There should be equal protection under the law, if a 14 year old female can not give consent, then neither can a 14 year old boy.

I think the main difference is emotion,,,a 14yr old boy can have sex with an older girl, strut like a rooster , crow about and then never even think about her the next day except maybe going back to get some more,,to most boys it is just physical and fun,,,in most cases a 14yr old girl will be much more emotional about it,,they are more worried about love and feelings 0 -

"The laws the law" but I bet juries and judges are more emotional and stricter in convention rape cases. While "the law is the law" I would guess these sort of rapists get much milder sentences.0
