Almost ran over
I was launching out a B52 this morning with a nub on headsets and I was doing the second man duties. TO cut to the case, the pilot called to clear the aircraft for taxi, which means disconnect the power source and nothing more. I briefed the nub on this but what does he do when the time comes? He started to pull chocks while the power unit was still connected. He got one pulled before I could get there and I dove for the second one to keep him form pulling it. That scared the crap out of me as the engines were at about 70% thrust at the time.

You got to watch those newbies. I've had my fair share close calls. Gotta keep your wits and keep your head on a swivel. 0 -
