Where have you gone, Teddy Roosevelt?
To paraphrase the Simon and Garfunkle song. Just thinking about Bush, and really every president of recent memory- Where has Teddy Roosevelt gone? Or his ilk, rather.
Let's see. He was an avid hunter but a convservationist who founded many parks. He beefed up our military but won the international peace prize. He cracked down on bloated big business and monopoly, raised worker's stance in the world, but grew the economy.
Someone who truly managed to work both sides of the aisle and get the job done! Now why can't we have a president like that anymore????!!!

Tru dat! Teddy was what EVERY American statesman should be! HONEST to the core; committed to RIGHTEOUSNESS with every fiber of his being; UNAFRAID of popular opinion or foreign fads; a dedicated husband and father; intelligent BEYOND mere formal education; and of course, COURAGEOUS in the face of EVERY FOE!
I am unaware of ANY PERSON on the national political scene worthy of even toting his bags or shining his boots.[^]0 -
