  I'd say it'd be worth more with a com-bloc scope rail on the side. More functional. Besides, if the Dems have their way, I should be able to sell mine for about, oh, $25,000 in a few years.

  The poly-tech is a COLLECTIBLE!
  I am a small time collector of savage 99s.
  After some idiot takes a fine old take-down 99, adds a recoil pad, sling swivels and scope mounts, it goes from a $1000 collectible to a $250 shooter.
  Bottom line ,,,,,,, if you drill a hole in it, you cut the value by at least 50%.

  That's why they created MAK-90's. The ideal AK to pimp. Can't lower the value of them anymore than where they are at now.
