......after you have had a BM (bowel movement)always wash your behind with a wet (wash)cloth....it will keep you from having hemorrhoids..(Pyles)..especially since the last weeks news events...[:o)]

    Do not attempt to feed a 4X4 oak block into a silage blower.

    It does not work as a wood chipper. It will blow most of the block up a 60 foot silo and shoot it across to the other side.

    It will break the shear bolt as it is engineered to do, but it will also bend 3 out of the 6 blades and bring it to a stop pretty fast.

    Uncle did it.

    Had about three laods to go until the silo was full. I didn't say a word. I just went to the top of the silo and started to level it off. I knew we were done where it was at. BY the time they sohad three paddles, the corn was going ot be too dry to finish it.

    Did you use a mask when you were in the silo? A few of my old friends have what is know as farmer lung from going in the silo. Have you heard about farmer lung?

    No mask. Had to climb up the inside to coil up the extension cord. THat was a dusty moldy mess. Climbed very slowly, being careful not to knock too much loose. Got to the top and set my foot on the second to last door. Normally these doors have two wooden flip up latches and a hook on the bottom to hold them in place. This one was missing the hook and as I stepped on it, it fell out and fell to the bottom. This was the door I tended to stand on to coil the cord up. So, I had to climb back down through al the dust I stirred up.

    I was sneezing for a few hours.

    The fresh stuff isn't bad for mold. Silo gas is another concern. I don't think it is hydrogen sulphide but the feremtation can give off a posionous gas.
