Witness to a foiled carjacking.

Such is life in the wicked city.

Returned late last evening from a party, and crossed a seedy part of town while on my way home.

Came to a red light when I noticed this shady character quickly crossing the street, and approaching from the passenger side the car to my left.

Suddenly, he ran backwards into the upcoming traffic with his hands in the air, and yelling "It's cool!, it's cool!"

The driver was pointing a semi-auto at his face, gangsta' style.

Funniest thing I've seen all week.

    Perhaps a sawed-off semi-auto shotgun with a pistol grip loaded alternately with slugs and 00 for your car!

    Yes, I know.

    However, way too frequently the local media, church, and government authorities describe such assailants as "mentally ill", or "ill from drug addiction", or "members of a broken family". Boo hoo hoo.

    I trust the system no long.
