Silver Spur...UPDATE !!

The Silver Spur - Saturday 12/22/2007
I got there at 5 to 7 so I didn't have to pay the cover charge. I watched a line dance class. I don't understand about line dancing. It seems to be rigidly structured as far as the moves go, but the Men and women seem to be paying no attention to each other. This puzzles me and I shall have to spend time observing the phenomena more closely, so I can figure out what's really going on.
During the course of the evening I met a few people, one a stunning young women whom I shall discuss further. I didn't dance - don't know the steps and back and knees were smarting a little. I drank one glass of draft beer and one glass of club soda, and left to get supper around 10.
THE WOMAN: while I was watching everyone dance, I saw that there was one girl who was head and shoulders above the rest. She was dancing with a guy who I was shortly to learn, was her husband. She was fascinating to watch. Five foot one, pretty but not spectacular face, shoulder-length jet black hair, piercing blue eyes, and a pretty good body stuffed into tight fittin' jeans. And...she could MOVE - smooth and precise, smiling and having a good time - knocked me out !! After they finished a dance, I went over and introduced myself as "Scott McCoy", from San Diego (no I didn't - but it's not a bad idea). His name was something and hers was Sharon. He is a returned OIF vet. I may adopt these two. I'll try to get a pic of her to post, next time I see her(them).
One thing I've noticed about this country bar, is how easy going and friendly everyone is. There is little to no tension, such as you would find at a rock 'n roll bar. No fights. I think I'm going to enjoy this cultural exploration.

I'd probably find some place less crowded or out of town where no one knows you. Go out of town and get a motel room if you have to.
The advice about avoiding conflict w/the soon to be EX until the divorce is final is good advice.
Believe me, I've been there. My Ex knew more about what I was doing than I did. People love to talk and you wouldn't believe who might be watching you and reporting to her.
I was broke, sleeping in my truck outside a local all nite diner one nite. When a gal I had met that nite came and got me about 3AM and paid for a Motel room for the 2 of us.
By the next morning, MY recent Ex GF KNEW ABOUT IT.
Divorce is never easy and even ones that begin civil, often turn sour as time and events unfold.
Keep your feet out of the fire as much as you can until it's final.0 -

Doug,........don't count yourself out quite yet. I had an old guy for a customer for years. Everytime I went there he would follow me around telling me all of the new ailments he had, and that this was probably the last time he would need to call me.
This went on for 10 years, and he was still kickin' when I sold off my residential business a couple of years ago.
Mental outlook has more to do with it than most think.
