11pm out in the woods
Last night about 11pm I got a call from my new next door nieghbors. They just moved in about 4 or 5 days ago and the place had been vacant since January.
Well last night they spotted someone walking around out in the woods between thier place and mine, so they called me (after calling our landlord as we have the same landlord (that is how they got my number)).
I guess I scared them off as I was comming through the woods and racked the slide on my Mossy 590 (that my nieghbor said she heard from her front porch). She said she saw them take off in the oppisite direction.
afterwards my landlord came pulling up and he was even shocked to see me loaded down Mossy 590 and RIA Tactical!
I bet whoever it was doesn't come back anytime soon![:D]

luckily everything turned out ok, hopefully that will be last of the phone calls like that from your neighbors. When i was growing up my buddies used to always say that if we were ever invaded they were coming over to my dad's house to take up arms, we used to do alot of skeet shooting and had hundreds of boxes of shotgun shells reloaded and in drawers, to them they didnt know any differnce between #8 shot and OO buck they just knew we lots of ammo [:D] 0 -
I sure that whoever it was still thought the place was vacant.
My landlord had a couple thing turn up missing from there while he was working on it after the other people moved out.
I wish my bedroom had a window faceing that direction to see out there but it doesn't. I have allways thought of that direction as a week spot in my defence of the property as the woods between the houses go clear up to the road.0 -
Thats what its like out here. Woods everywhere, (Not really anymore, builders are devolping...) but there are still alot.. Everyone knows everyone, they all lived here all their life, and one watches anothers back 0 -

I think Sportman Guide has a sprinkler setup to a motion detector for varmints. Goes on and off in 5 second bursts. Perhaps, it would offer some other uses.
My dog would have loved it.0
