ZOMBIE THREAD!
I'm stocking up for the Great Zombie Uprising. Just bought 620 rounds of 7.62x39mm ammo for my AK. I've got a holographic sight on order for it, and I currently have 2 30-round mags and plans to buy a 75-round drum in the near future. Then I've got my SOCOM 16 and Savage 30-06 for long range Zombie killing, and my Benelli for close in combat. Still need to buy a sidearm...a .22LR pistol is just a little too light for the undead.

My friendly, neighborhood gun shop has a few beater Mossberg 500's for around $100. I tried to get my wife to let me get one for a project gun. I even quoted from the extensive zombie knowlege here, but she refuses to cave in. How can I convince her that my puny 45ACP's are woefully inadequate for the task that will surely be at hand? 0 -

Y'all saw on the news about that space junk that fell across Wyoming and Colorado a couple of weeks ago?
At first, we thought it was a meteor. My co-host's comment was, "Oh great, now we gotta put up with zombies!"
Then we heard it was a Russian rocket body. His comment, "Great, now we gotta worry about Russian Cosmo-zombies!"

22LR is perfect for zombies. all you need to do is inflict damage to the brain. For close range, I'd avoid using too high of a caliber. You run the risk getting infected by the blood splatter if it lands on an open cut or if you so happen to ingest it accidentally. 0 -

Just tell your wife that when the zombies come, it's like Christmas - you don't want to be left empty-handed. .45's might be nice, but more is better.
And if that doesn't work, appeal to her patriotism and tell her you're doing your part to buoy the local economy and to defend our homeland against the inevitable tide of foreigner cosmonaut zombies.[:D]0 -

I just got 880 rounds of 8MM for the Yugo Mauser. 1,200 rounds of 7.62X54R came in last week for the MN. I just loaded 1,000 more .45's last night. I am working on loads for the 22 K Hornet. The K Hornet stands for KILL ZOMBIES hornet. It should keep them at bay fer a while.

Okay That's IT. Forget a new gun. I'm getting a pregressive loader next. I just chew through that 45ACP ammo too fast. and it takes forever to load them in my single stage.0 -
