did a ground up restoration to it. needs tank, fenders, and side cover paint job.
got it all together and forgot to change the valve guide.
    otherwise runs and all works.

I've got a 1969 Greeves Ranger 250cc 2 stroke, street legal (US market only, dual purpose version of the Anglian trials bike), fitted with a Alpha full circle crank (also comes with the Villiers bobweighted crank) that's looking for a new home.

Now that bobski has waded in, I know that three of us here know what a Greeves is.

That's what made it so much fun when I was riding it in the AMA Dual Sport series (that and it used to piss of David Combs(sp) when I'd run it at one of his events). Mix up some Blendsall racing (with "Oil of Murbane") or some Klotz Castor and enjoy the looks from those that got behind me (esp when the castor fumes had a chance to work on em, I know I'm evil).

BTW, I hold the distinction of having been passed 3 times [:0] by Mark Hyde(sp) and Dick Burlison is a single loop.

Dick Burleson. Now there's a name I haven't heard in a while. He was GOD on those Husky's. Looked like he should be in an accounting office somewhere but man could that guy ride.

Ah, Dick and the Penton Boys... chased their blue haze through many an Enduro in Mich and oHIo. Always wanted to ride the Six Days of Mich but never got around to doing it.... riding a Greeves there would startle the average rider to no end....

God Bless Bert Greeves and John Penton!

"Six speeds and 12 neutrals" I thought my 125 had more then that.
