what the hell is a "cop killer bullet"?

Last I checked any rifle will gut any class IIIA vest simply because of the physics behind it (ie skinny bullet + buttload of force = enough pressure to penetrate) not because it was designed to kill police

My reply to "Numbnuts" on the news station blog.

I am a command-level peace officer in the State of Arizona and just saw JC's comments after they were posted on a website. Since there seems to be some misconception in the general public about cops being anti-gun and JC blathered something about "cop-killer" bullets, I just can't resist replying.

JC clearly showed his ignorance, or willful disregard of the US Constitution.

I don't really care if any of you like what it says, but "it is what it is", period.

I challenge JC to carefully read the US Constitution and its Bill of Rights, then read the Federalist and Anti-Federalist. This simple research will clear up any ignorance on what the "intent" of Amendment II was.

It isn't about hunting, it isn't about the National Guard, it isn't about anything but being armed and available to defend America if needed, about protecting self, family and community as needed and most importantly, it IS about protecting against and restraining a tyrannical government.

And JC old friend, it is about securing the "Right" (not the privilege) of American Citizens to own and carry firearms suitable for military use, that includes semi-auto rifles, or what most ignorant people mistakenly refer to as "assault weapons". So, when you or anyone else calls for a ban, it is a direct violation of Amendment II to the US Constitution.

    Simple isn't it?

That being said, JC, I really don't care if you want a handgun, a rifle, a shotgun, or other type firearm. I don't really care what your personal beliefs and opinions are, you are certainly entitled to them, regardless of how misguided, or ignorant, they are.

The bottom line is, sir, that you can have your views, but they are clearly contrary to the US Constitution and the Constitutions of almost every other State in the Union, period.

Don't attempt to regulate or push your anti-constitution views on the rest of America.

Make your choice to remain "gun-free" and live your life, but do us all a favor, either educate yourself and speak out with knowledge, and speak truthfully, or shut the hell up.

This is just a guess, but ,I don't think that J.C. is going to enjoy the little love note I left for him at Fox! I wasn't rude but I think he might understand that the U.S.constitution is a piece of paper that he might want to re-read(without a liberal translator this time)and think about the first amendment he uses to make a living.

It's a shame some people cannot responsibly use their freedom of speech.

I understand why some people think the freedom of speech is a collective right and not an individual right. Hopefully, he will learn to use his words more wisely before someone determines his freedom of speech is only through his elected officials.
