Oh the perks of working at a gun shop....

So I've decided my next carry gun will be the Kahr P40, in either stainless or blued stainless.

MSRP on the blued stainless....$749

My price...Way under 1/2 of MSRP.

Ohhh, it's a beautiful thing. I shouldn't have bought the bike as I now want to buy about 50 more guns.

    It takes about a year....this will fade. Don't over-do the "checking for myself" thing. Its aggrivating to have people in the store who work there that don't realize how much time they spend on themselves.

    We've had various people from time to time....checking prices for wanted items....working on their own guns....calling every vendor looking for certain things. Its fine every once in a while. When there are customers in the store (at all) its not cool....and if there aren't customers and there are things needing to be done.

    I am not saying you do that AT ALL....its just things that have happened to me. I help three people...call in 4473s and do a bunch of work to look over where someone has their own gun apart on the work bench. Its also somewhat hard to explain how our ordering goes. I get a lot of items with a plan in mind to get a better deal from certain vendors....and they will have a price difference with each and every one.

    Now I have to hold back. The safe is full and I have my eye on a Browning safe....you don't want to know the price I can get those for.[8D]

    Isn't it amazing at the different voices at NICS when you call in 4473's? You can have a good 'ol southern boy one time, a Chicago accent the next, then a European accent the next, all in one day. I get a kick out of it.

    I have spoken with her many times. She's cool. The ones I can't stand are the ones that speak so low they can't be heard or the ones that talk so fast it hard to keep up. Usually the faster they speak the slower I speak.

    Call me old-fashioned, but I like a hammer stroke with every pull of the trigger in a carry gun.

    Unless it is a 1911.
