Old Hickory is the best knife you can buy, imo. I have about fifty of them in my kitchen. Threw all of the others in the garbage.

These are real knives and they STAY sharp. They make great knives for skinning rabbits and squirrels too.

My mom had Old Hickory in her kitchen for many years. Have not seen them in a while, but they used to be fine knives.

Yep, fine knives, with high carbon steel blades (I guess they still are).

They are GREAT knives. The ones I have were given to me by my grandparents, who used them for decades and bought some new ones after they passed the old ones on to me. Been used for everything from skinning game, cleaning fish, paring fruit and cutting vegetables.

    My next question...

They have their butcher knives, 1/2 price for those with some cosmetic flaws. It says their edges need some TLC. I have one of those Lansky sharpening systems, works great. Think that would do the trick?
