    i dont know, ive been really looking at a few, and they seem to be close t exact copies of the original.

    Yeah, aesthetically, I've heard they're close matches. But as far as build quality and accuracy, many people have given it bad reviews.

    The only thing wrong with a Polytech is that the reciever hardness is at the lower end of the acceptable hardness range. If that is what one wants to call wrong, I don't. Loved the two I had, but I did sell them and purchased two Springfields. Thinking about getting a 3rd and putting it in a bull pup stock.

    See, that's what makes me shy away from the Polytech. You're not the first person I've heard of who owned one, says they liked it, but then sold it for a Springfield.
